2024 Coats for Kids program

By Sir Knight Gerry Gieni, CFK program chair

Students from our elementary schools participated in the project. We met in the basement of St. Joseph’s – separated the coats into boxes containing both boys and girls coats. The students put mitts, a scarf and a toque inside each of the coats. The mitts, etc. where received as donations – this was organized through St. Joseph’s parish as well as the Holy Trinity school system by the students.

All in all – a very good project this year. The students really participated in the virtue of charity – and felt how rewarding it is to ‘give to others’. They also asked where the coats came from – which of course points right back to the Knights of Columbus.

Check out the pictures here, (Go to Community Service) which include students from our HTRCSD elementary schools. These were the students who assisted us yesterday.
