Family of the Month of April

As you know, Each month, the Knights of Columbus council selects one parish family that models Christian family values and visibly lives them every day. Recognized families outwardly exhibit strong ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values and making meaningful contributions to their parish and larger community.  The Family of the month of April chosen by our Knights of Columbus council is:

Blair and Tamye Miller.

Tamye and Blair have been parishioners of St. Joseph since they moved to Moose Jaw in 1990. They raised three children within the church and always encouraged them to serve the community from a young age. Tamye started her involvement in the parish as a children’s liturgy coordinator when the kids were young, and has been a committed member of the 9am choir for over 20 years. Blair serves his parish every Sunday morning by trying to keep his grandchildren well behaved during mass, which Amanda says often proves to be a difficult task. Within the past year, Tamye and Blair have been active members of the Together in Faith Campaign Team, Tamye as the head of the fundraising committee and Blair serving on the projects team. Tamye has put in countless hours contacting volunteers, preparing call lists, organizing training, and visiting parishioners in their homes. Blair has given of his time and talents by taking on projects around the church such as repairing our front steps, sealing and painting windows, and making efforts to prevent further water from damaging our foundation. Together, they have been able to use their retirement to serve and benefit their parish community.
